VARIOUS MUDRAS AND IMPORTANTANCE

A mudra means seal, mark or gesture, is a symbolic gesture or can be a pose. While some mudras involves the entire body and mostly are performed with the hands and fingers.

These mudras are involved in yoga asanas. Yoga at Shree Mahesh heritage teaches every mudras and yoga asanas.

There are many basic mudras that can be performed at home or at some institutes, Schools like shree mahesh heritage. These are as follows;

JNANA MUDRA

It is to touch the thumb of your hand to the for finger of your hand and extending the other three fingers at the same time. It mudra is basically used to emerge knowledge within. Enhances the mental function and helps to control the anger and to let go things which makes sad.

Prithvi mudra

Joining the ring finger with thumb of the hand and extanding all the other three fingers. Prithvi basically means the ring finger is associated with the earth element. It builds the strength and healthy body. Benefits in glowing skin.

VAYU MUDRA

Curling the index finger towards the palm and pressing it down with the help of thumb and extending all the other three fingers.

It helps to calm down the anxiety and to balance the scattered thoughts. This is helpful for being healthy as it discharges the pain that is felt in the chest.

SHUNYA MUDRA

Is mudra is to touching the middle fingers base with the help of thumb. It mudra is important to calm down the nervous system. This is to increase the energy in the body.

SURYA MUDRA

Bending the ring fingers base with the thumb and extending the other three fingers. Some call is as weight loss mudra as it helps to reduce the weight and helps the thyroid gland to get better and reduces the anxiety in the body by creating heat in the body.

PRAANA MUDRA

This mudra is to touch the ring finger and little finger together with the thumb and extending the other two fingers. Breathing in and out slowly.

This mudra is helpful in boosting the energy and to remove tiredness. This reduces the hunger need of the people and helps to get a better sleep.

APANA MUDRA

This mudra is to eliminate the negative thinking of the person. This mudra is done as follows, touching the tip of the middle two fingers with the thumb and to extend the fore finger and index finger at the same time.

VYANA VAYU MUDRA

This mudra is helpful for heart and it improves the circulation, strengthen the heart and help with the gastric disturbance.

Bending the index and middle finger to touch the tip of the thumb.

VARUNA MUDRA

Touch the tip of the small finger with the thumb. This helps to balance the fluids in the body and supports a good hydration.

LINGA MUDRA

Interlocking the fingers of your hands. Keeping the left thumb up and circle it with the fore finger to and thumb of the right hand. This generally helps to generate a lot of heat.

Performing all the mudras by adding them into your daily life. Observe the difference after Performing these mudras in daily life. These mudras will surely make a difference in one’s life.

Jnana mudra or gyaan mudra is powerful mudra as it brings the positive impact on the nervous system, your mind. This mudra is basically used at the time of meditation, it is done as follows; touching the tip of the index finger to the tip of the thumb.
