During your ten-day and nine-night plan, you will explore the Jispa and Sarchu of Manali via a bike ride. As you go through the wind on the roads, you will be thrilled to be open to the new experience of the breathtaking landscapes of Ladakh.
Picture yourself cruising alongside azure lakes like Pangong and Tso Moriri, their tranquil beauty contrasting with the starkness of the encircling mountains. The magnetic pull of monasteries like Hemis and Thiksey invites you to delve into the religion of the location.

Itinerary - Explore Ladakh on the bike in 2023
Day 1 - Arrival in Manali (By bus)
Reach Manali via bus and check in to the hotel you have decided to stay in during your bike tour. It is your first day in Manali, so get ready to experience the whole Manali on a bike. Start your bike ride from the roads of the Kullu Valley. Have a beautiful and peaceful view of the valley and the bike sound. After exporting the roads, have dinner and return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2 - Manali - Jispa (150 km)
Start your day with breakfast early morning and leave for Jispra on your bike. Each turn will bring a new canvas of the scenic beauty in your way, painted with mountains and beautiful valleys on your way. So explore the breathtaking views of the Rohtang pass on your way and enjoy the snow activities.
On your way to Jispra, you should take a trip to get your fuel tanks and bike repaired, as it would be the last point for you to get assistance. At your final destination, Jispra, your mobile phone will stop working, so remember to enjoy the beautiful village and taste the village food in your dinner. After that, get back to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 3 - Jispa - Sarchu (120 km)
Have breakfast in the morning and get your bike ready to go towards the sarchu. The most challenging task for you today will be crossing bara lacha ba. You will feel more acute mountain sickness as long as the altitude increases, but remember that as long as you reach Sarchu, the roads will get smoother.
After reaching the sarchu, set up your camp and prepare your dinner. Enjoy the rest of your time at the camp, looking at the beautiful view of the place, and stay overnight at your camp to rest up.
Day 4 - Sarchu - Leh (250 km) 08 hrs drive
Get your breakfast in the morning and prepare for a thrilling experience of the fata loops, including the loop series of 21 hairpins that take you to the top of the maker la. You will soon climb toward Lachulung La, the fourth pass offering a smoother ride after descending from Nakee La.
The temporary tent group of Pang, which is located after leaving Lachulung La, is known for leading to altitude sickness. The route from Pang to Leh is smooth, with the breathtaking Moore Plains showing after about 4 km. You will head towards the leh. Remember to shop at the Thiksey and Shey monasteries. As you reach Changspa, check into the hotel you have pre-booked, savour the delicious dinner and rest up at the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 5 - Leh – Nubra (160 km)
After breakfast in the morning, get your bags ready, check from the hotel and leave for the Nubra Valley via Khardung la. In Khardung la, the world's highest motorable road, there will be a stop at the south pullu, where you can eat something and enjoy the view of the beautiful place and click some pictures to create memories forever. Your next stop will be the north pullu, where you can take some time to rest up.
On your way to the Nubra Valley, explore the Diskit monastery and take the blessings. Shop from the famous monastery and check in to the camp upon arrival. You can then take the double hump camel ride and get a tasty dinner. At last, get back to your camp for an overnight stay in Nubra Valley.
Day 6 - Nubra – Pangong Lake via Shyok route (275 Km)
Get yourself ready for the beautiful view of Pangong Lake after having breakfast in the morning. It is the largest brackish lake in Asia. Plan your route to Pangong Lake via the Shyok route, which will open your eyes, and each turn will bring a new surprise your way.
Upon your arrival at Pangong Lake, you will be amazed at the crystal clear water mirroring the sky and the mountains. Check in to the camp you have booked for yourself. Experience the changing colour of the lake during sunset time and get yourself a dinner. Get back to your camp for an overnight stay.
Day 7 - Pangong - Leh (150 km)
Start your day by having breakfast in the morning. This will be your last day on the leh trip, where you will be visiting the Shanti stupa, which is the most iconic attraction of the town. After that, you can buy the souvenirs from the leh and get dinner.
Get back to your camp for an overnight stay.
Day 8 - Leh - Sarchu (215 km)
In the early morning, start your day with breakfast, and after that, start your road trip Journey to Sarchu from Leh. Travel via pang en route after reaching the sarchu, check in to the camp you selected for your stay and rest at your camp. You can plan to have a beautiful view of the place, explore the local market, and get your dinner.
Get back to your camp for an overnight stay.
Day 9 - Sarchu - Manali (215 km)
Get breakfast and say goodbye to the sarchu; leave for Manali. In between, go to the bara lacha la. At BaraLacha La, you can experience a smooth ride to Lahaul. Ride your bike carefully through your way to Manali via Rohtang Pass, which offers beautiful views of the mountains.
As you reach Manali, check in to the hotel you have booked for yourself and spend the time you have to explore the local area and enjoy the tasty dinner in Manali. Finally, get back to the hotel you booked for an overnight stay.
Day 10 - Manali (Departure)
In the morning, have a great breakfast and check out of the hotel you have stayed in, as it is the last day for your bike ride.
